As I write this, John is applying ink to one of the drawings for the Somes Sound 12 1/2. We are in the process of expanding our office into what was our small (very) house in West Brooklin and the place is a complete disaster . . . all except for John's drawing space. The Somes Sound plans are our first priority. We'll let you know the publication date, but it won't be long now. Thanks to all who keep asking about them, you've been more than patient!
(And yes, we only let him off the chain for a little food now and then, and the occasional essential break.)

Looking forward to your study plan details for the 12 1/2. I hope it will not be too much longer, as I am about ready to commit to a design choice. I love the history and lines of the Herreshoff 12 1/2 and the center board version Haven 12 1/2. I came across you site during my final review of research literature and now look forward having this boat included in my short list.
I would like to second the motion from Mr Rich. I'm anxiously awaiting the plans. I'm in exactly the same situation. I enjoyed your book very much. I would venture to say a second book based on the 12 1/2 would do very well. It seems to be a sweet spot in the spectrum for amateur builders.
